Day 15/16- Seattle

We are going to combine these 2 days of our trip as we spent both days in Seattle with Pete and Jessica.

We got to Pete and Jessica’s house, then headed out with Pete to the Fremont and Queen Anne neighborhoods. We were able to see some great views of the city, see a lot of the older homes in the area, and walk around the area Pete used to live in. We had lunch at RoRo’s BBQ, which was really awesome! We walked around some more, stopped somewhere for a drink, then drove back to Pete’s house. We played these games on something called Jackbox? They were fun but I was so bad at them! You had to draw things on your phone and it was so hard! Pete and Jessica cooked dinner for us, we hung out with their one cat Neva, and we stayed at their house for the evening.

The next day, we got up and went to breakfast at Admiral Bird with Pete. Our plan was to catch the ferry to go downtown Seattle. However, after breakfast and hoofing it to the ferry, we just missed it! We grabbed an Uber and headed toward Pike’s Place Market. Scott will say that I was the one who wanted to go here, however, I had never heard of it! I just mentioned that I found the original Starbucks was at a place called Pike’s Market, and that turned into me REAAAALLY wanting to go there! πŸ™‚ We walked around a little, then headed to the waterfront. Walked around there a little, then went to do this Underground Tour. This tour took us through some of the tunnels of Seattle. Our tour guide’s name was Adrian, and she was pretty funny! We wish there had been some more history and things like that, but it was still cool to see the underground and hear some old stories about times gone by.

We had lunch at this awesome place called Casco Antiguo. It was a little Mexican taco place with AMAZING guacamole! We took the ferry back to Pete and Jessica’s, and got some great views of Seattle on the way back!

We hung around their house for a little while, then went to dinner at a Moroccan tapas place called Itto’s Tapas. We tried a bunch of different things. The best things we ate were the prime rib (I think that was the type of beef), the olives, and the cauliflower with harissa. So yummy! We said goodbye to Seattle, Pete, and Jessica, and headed back to our camper. It was a nice couple days where we felt like we weren’t forced to move around and drive a lot, and awesome to see friends! On our drive back, we had some GREAT views of Mt. Rainier!

On our next post: We head to Mt. Rainier National Park!!
