Day 25- Yosemite to Kings Canyon N.P.

Today we head out of Yosemite National Park to go to Kings Canyon National Park. The drive was incredible, going through mountains and desert and everything in between. We drove through Fresno, where Scott did some amazing camper maneuvering to get us out of a gas station that we got blocked into!

Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks are jointly operated, as they are in the same area. There is only one road to get to Kings Canyon, and our campground was off that road! Due to some late winter storms, the original campground we were to stay at in Sequoia was closed, so we booked this one in Kings Canyon. It turned out to be a blessing because we had a great camping spot and enjoyed the drive back to Kings Canyon. We stayed at Sentinel Campground- right in the heart of Kings Canyon!

Along the road to get to the campground, we followed the South Forks Kings River. This river was INSANE. It was nearly all white water, and probably the craziest river I’ve ever seen. The drive was pretty windy, going through the foothills and canyons. Kings Canyon is so beautiful, and we were excited to have the chance to explore it!
